Company Hosts Meeting with Remodelers
CHARLOTTE, NC ( June 27, 2019) - National Gypsum welcomed the Greater Charlotte chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). The night consisted of industry networking and a special presentation from Chris Whitmire, product manager of gypsum systems, and Jay Watt, marketing director, and a national board member of NARI.
NARI is an organization of highly-qualified remodeling professionals and provides its members continuing education and certification while connecting homeowners with its qualified members to ensure a positive remodeling experience. Its members are committed to integrity, high standards, professional education, ethics and market recognition.
“National Gypsum and its associates have been a great partner of NARI for many years,” said Mike Waite, executive director of NARI’s Greater Charlotte chapter.
Watt, who has worked at National Gypsum for 35 years, has been a member of NARI for four years and a board member for two. Together, Watt and Whitmire have presented at many NARI events across the country showcasing National Gypsum’s PURPLE® family of products. During these events, they also connect with industry professionals and stay on top of industry trends.
“Being a part of NARI allows National Gypsum to be more involved in industry conversations,” said Watt. “Not only do we get to network with and learn from building and construction professionals, but through our presentations, webinars, eblasts and sponsorships we get to introduce another sector of consumers to the value and benefits of using our PURPLE® performance products.”
The marketing team is committed to sponsoring more PURPLE activations in 2019 in an effort to introduce the benefits and generate awareness of the Company’s PURPLE® product portfolio to more audiences. The team has focused on presenting in target markets this year such as Raleigh and Durham in North Carolina, Phoenix and select cities in Michigan, which were selected in 2018. The efforts are paying off Whitmire says. “We have reached over thousands of remodelers in core markets this year and have seen a significant increase of online traffic of users searching for PURPLE.”
