Sarasota Power Haus earned the 2011 LEED Project of the Year. It scored a minus 22 on the Home Energy Rating system, the lowest ever recorded by Energy Star and the Department of Energy's Builder's Challenge at the time it was built. This stunning and sustainable private residence scored 118 LEED points, the highest ever awarded for a new house when it was finished. The house, which features an open floor plan with ceiling fans throughout, was also carefully designed and situated to take advantage of large trees that provide plenty of shade.
