At BUILD25: AWCI’s Convention & Expo, National Gypsum celebrated its 100th anniversary with industry partners and associates. Held at the Convention Center in the company’s home city of Charlotte, North Carolina, Executive Vice President and COO John Mixson reflected on National Gypsum’s past and future at the BUILD25 celebration dinner.

“Our commitment to excellence and innovation has driven us every day, and we are proud to support the community that has been an integral part of our story," said Mixson. "As we look to the future, we remain dedicated to building spaces that shape lives and communities where we live and work. We are grateful for the support of our customers, partners and communities, and we look forward to continuing this journey together.”

During the event, the Charlotte skyline was lit up in purple, symbolizing the company’s deep connection with the community.

National Gypsum Marks 100 Years

Founded in 1925 in Buffalo, New York, the original National Gypsum Company began developing gypsum board to construct better walls and buildings.
