Three of our military veteran associates were recently featured in a case study published by the Manufacturing Institute and its Heroes MAKE America program.

We are proud to work with the Manufacturing Institute as we share our dedication to recruiting, hiring and retaining veterans at National Gypsum Company, NG Corporate, LLC, Gold Bond Building Products, LLC, Gold Bond Canada, Ltd., ProForm Finishing Products, LLC, PermaBASE Building Products, LLC and Unifix Inc.

The case study highlights the Company’s lessons learned and best practices in hiring veterans, as well as the stories of associates who transitioned from the military to civilian life: Richmond Plant Engineer David Gomez (United States Marine Corps), Mt. Holly Department Manager Will Wedley (US Army) and Corporate Environmental Engineer Meg Zehringer (Coast Guard).

“We like to hire military veterans because their values align with those of National Gypsum – teamwork, work ethic, integrity and a positive attitude,” said John Corsi, vice president, manufacturing, operations and engineering.

We partner with the Manufacturing Institute to recruit from the Heroes MAKE America program and regularly participate in its programs designed to help veterans understand how a career in manufacturing can align with their military experience.
