Gold Bond® BRAND Wallboard with
UltraSTEEL®
Dietrich Industries has introduced a new line of metal framing marketed under the
UltraSTEEL® Brand. Dietrich describes the product as, “a cutting-edge, industry-changing
new development to interior drywall metal framing — Dietrich UltraSTEEL Framing".
The UltraSTEEL product is UL classified and is currently listed in UL design V450.
National Gypsum has and will continue to work with Dietrich Industries to populate
this and other UL designs with approvals allowing the use of Gold Bond®
BRAND Wallboard products with UltraSTEEL products.
At the current time Gold Bond Wallboard is approved for use in 1 and 2 hour assemblies.

As this and other UL designs are created or modified to include Gold Bond Wallboard
for use with the UltraSTEEL products, this Tech Talk page will be updated to reflect
